Sacred
The library
With walls of
tall shelves
Stacked with books
to look and to tell
Too much for any
Person to comprehend
or read
Too many subjects
Authors like trees
in a forest
as we step in
Between the aisles
of worship
Only to see
Title upon title
Tripping along
Into the depths
Of knowledge
pondering and
wandering alone
Wondering how much does
someone need to know? In
order to think intellectually
To talk above the fellow man
Or to walk along the aisles
to understand all there is
To know
To read
To comprehend
One becomes overwhelmed
from the tall bookshelves
Perceived as unread
Wrapping his head around
the complexity
coming to the conclusion
experience is knowledge and
to know is to experience
without the appearance
of doing the choosing
Like one reads with breadth
As the other succeeds through
Sweat as the two
become one of the same
Awareness where they became
Both assured there is more
to learn, always more to read
more to do, more than ever
The Righteous and the Wicked
The righteous and the wicked
have two opposing sides
Some fell into hell
and some reside
In heaven with seven times seven
angels singing praise
As the opposition has a position
of contradictions raised
The world will twirl
as we hurl words of earthly ways
With the right to fight
what forgives and saves
Believing is to achieve what we do
As heresy is there to rationally prove
There is freedom
to run needing some fun
under the sun and moon
As the righteous choose
To walk and
The wicked live
To talk
As the good will listen
And should be missing
the one thing the wicked have
A life of sin
to live within
The pleasures
of leisure and to laugh
These are tactics
of a devil's advocate
with the opinions of sin
fading as the righteous
might just be of a higher
persuading
When living gives the righteous a dig
and evil wants to equal the dead
The wicked have strife
in a solitary life
But the righteous
live forever instead
have two opposing sides
Some fell into hell
and some reside
In heaven with seven times seven
angels singing praise
As the opposition has a position
of contradictions raised
The world will twirl
as we hurl words of earthly ways
With the right to fight
what forgives and saves
Believing is to achieve what we do
As heresy is there to rationally prove
There is freedom
to run needing some fun
under the sun and moon
As the righteous choose

When living gives the righteous a dig
and evil wants to equal the dead
The wicked have strife
in a solitary life
But the righteous
live forever instead

Awaken the Heart
It takes more than love
to keep us together
as we make it hard
to awaken the heart
Endeavoring forever
when we dream differently
and interpret them
without offending or
Pretending what they are
about
we dream
redeeming
The best person in us
Giving back
the lack of unconditional
trust
Awakening to make
everything as true
From the picnic to the palace
To the clown juggling the blues
Making light of our fights
When we are apart
Swaying in our days
Imbibing in the dark
As we console our souls
together for the days
making our roles endeavor
forever and always
to keep us together
as we make it hard
to awaken the heart
Endeavoring forever
when we dream differently
and interpret them
without offending or
Pretending what they are
about
we dream
redeeming
The best person in us
Giving back
the lack of unconditional
trust
Awakening to make
everything as true
From the picnic to the palace
To the clown juggling the blues
Making light of our fights
When we are apart
Swaying in our days
Imbibing in the dark
As we console our souls
together for the days
making our roles endeavor
forever and always
Waiting On Stu
It is more about me
than about you
when I imagine you
Sitting with your legs
crossed
drinking
your Chablis
I swagger over
with my drink
holding you with my eyes
Wanting you to sip
your wine
and to my surprise
Your eyes
catch mine
as I turn away
ashamed
My eyes slowly
drift back
to you and your
cigarette
Wanting your company and yet
I see
you were waiting
To meet someone
as you sat patiently
across the way
With my imagination at play
we kiss and embrace
Not knowing but still showing emotion
as we go through the motions in your arms
smelling perfume letting me wonder as my mind
wanders taking you to your room as if we knew
each other better than who you were waiting for
drawing off of your cigarette
Catching my stare as you blew
the breath into the air
I was taking a chance
your beau was not into romance
And I could dance our one and only dance
As you finished your smoke
I joked with your
Fancy as my imagination
was getting antsy
was getting antsy
as I thought to chance before your romance
Showed wondering if I could show you a better time
Pondering
Asking your name
I clumsily tried to explain my right
To sit down
afraid of imposing
with a frozen expertise
I thawed to remember
you were a lady to please
Pleasing to the eyes
knowing I would never see you again
As I accepted humbly and stumbled
back to my gin
After hearing your heart
was waiting for a show from a
friend
Who intended to know
you even though I never endeavored
Taking you away
I only wanted to show you a good time
as I was going away
I introduced my love to you
At least my interest
was appearing
Not like your Steve
I was Stu loving
and endearing

Act In Time
Nothings for certain if you’re a person
hurting and flirting with disaster
As a factor in being an actor
faster than the world on a stage
engaged in a whirlwind age
wanting to save the human race
as we embrace
to erase our own existence
From the planet as we hand it
our insistence and ego as we go
to show in thinking
we belong when really reality is sinking
as we long to make sense of the nonsense
that we admonish
Exhibiting our own uninhibited
yet honest
Assessment in our investment
To survive
showing signs reminding us we are alive
With protest although we know best is just not
performed
With pollution as the conclusion
is not in our best interest
Being informed globally
we are nobly only trying
When totally socially we’re all denying
And killing ourselves with all the wars and lies
Unwilling to admit global warming as we die
If we don’t catch the watch in time
and stop the switching off
Of our minds and cop to the scoff to find
Solutions to our proven problems
With our souls and our truth to solve and resolve them
