The Nursing Home

Laying in diapers drenched
Pressure sores and stench
Scream voices from little old ladies
Wanting out to find their babies
Do not take them away from all the pain
They have become as they anticipate
And wait for their life saving son
Nobody drinks the water here
In fear they won't get changed
You're out of luck when your mind's amuck
Running aged and deranged
Nobody wants to end up here
Live, before you do
Have to go where no one knows
How to help you through
Falling down recalling how you use to remember
Before you found no way around excuses to surrender
If you could you would have a faith without a doubt
As you blunder to stand ascunder
You wait to find no way out
In a place where you lie and face
Wonder all alone
With a fate to deteriorate and die crying for home
How can man allow them to stand and lay their bodies down?
At the cost of such a loss to stay and never to be found
Keeping them alive until their last dying breath
Is a disgrace to this place dignifying death
Engage the mind and find a kind of quality in life
Before the door closes more with apology and strife
We never want something like this to happen to us
Or them, forever denying all the dying, distrust they must defend
As witness and victims of the system without a voice or choice
I speak for the weak too afraid to seek a freedom to rejoice
From the vain unchanging chains fettering their mentality
Becoming strained in all the pain remaining their reality

Christian Vision

An eagle is peaceful pouncing on a snake
As a killer whale kills the seal tasting great
The shark is as smart as the food he eats
As we dance with a chance to romance defeat
With wisdom of the victim defeated in the system
As they have vision in the decision to be in a position
To fulfill the will, not to kill the victim
But have the nerve to be served and serve in the system
As the great white shark remarks on faith
Is it not kind to find they accomodate?
For prey to not want to dominate
As they pay the price upon the plate?
I find the prey with the right insight
They niether try to fight or take flight into the night
As they delight in the light to stay out of fights
Despite the fright the darkness encites
They choose to be of use, rather than use
They console the soul, rather than control
They are like a savior, with good behavior
As they reach for peace with favor to savor
They follow and swallow the offering
Borrowing from the pain of suffering
As they agree with the sea
We should pray to be the prey!
Taking heed to concede
As they display in the fray

Global Warming

There goes our ozone
one more hole to our demise

For all we know, it's over our heads
instead we act surprised

With factory pollution, and carbon
emissions with U.V. warnings

All our excuses to justify uses but not
admitting to global warming

Infuriating and deteriorating
right before our eyes

Carbon monoxide is a preogative
as we continue to deny

Causing tornado's to twist
and hurricane's to rain

While the calamity holds humanity
fair share to the blame

For climate change
dynamic and strange

On a fatalistic cliff
A warning for global warming

With a cataclysmic shift
like volcano's first transformation

When the earth was formed
and when the asteroid hit the planet

Killing the dinosaurs that roamed
like the ice age was a page ripped out of history

How do we allow ourselves
to witness catastrophe?

As we have damaged
to our disadvantage

And to all our death
like a bandage we can't imagine

Can be finally managed and addressed
as we go on bleeding knowing we are needing

To heed our savageness
and give a chance to enhance

Our environs with a lavishment
As we confess to this mess and

Believe before we leave
We can heal and deal with what is real
living responsibly

Reclining In The Den

Cigar and brandy after dinner retreat
Is typically cynical and literally defeats
Discussing each political ideal
Because deceit leaves little appeal
For conservative perspective
Or liberal view
In a nutshell, the elect, selected to do
Amazing changes in the world today
To end all wars and use sustainable ways
But with a cover-up there is silence
Leading to more guns and violence
In a democracy of hypocrisy
And propaganda
A policy we all can see is underhanded
The solution to help is held in defiance
Compelling us to be with more self reliance
Without financing a war mongering state
Or wondering how we are great with hate
Ever since persistant insistance is cleverly
Severing togetherness forever leveraging
Business as usual in games without names
And witnesses refusal to remain without shame
Seeing the culture for what we are
Freedom with soldiers and callous hearts
Abstaining from complaining and sustaining harm
In a domain remaining vain and armed
As we fight despite disease and discord
A plight we can right with peace, not war

Labeled Disabled

I walk along and sing a song
being on top of the world
But then I fear of what I hear
in all the whispers hurled
When honestly, they hurt me,
deep down inside not being
rightly included
As I am laughed at and made fun of
even shunned as if I’ve intruded?
Like a clown made up in a frown
as though I’m a joke
Excluded as a dude rudely
abused, being
refused, and poked
I am someone misunderstood
mostly disrespected
Feeling like a piece of candy
spit out and rejected!
Like a weed in the middle of a field
pulled out by the root
Like a person behind
the backstage curtain
never playing the role that suits
Feeling disowned like being thrown
into a pail of garbage
like a ball of paper crinkled up
for later and thought of as
a failure discarded
You see, it’s like I’m free,
but swimming in a fishbowl instead
As others have gold, mine is dull
colored dismal and dead
I wish I was a fish with a color of bliss
feeling like the rest
But all I find in my time of dieing
is swimming behind the jest!
Sometimes I want to escape
this world feeling not worth a dime
In this landscape I can’t
Stand straight dealing
with this earth of mine
I want to feel the difference
of being one of the same
But with the sadness I feel madness
as gladness is the game
You see all I need is to
Be set free from being
Seen as a crook
As I rage off these pages
In case my cage is shook
How can I show you I am stable?
and more than being able?
The song I sing dreams of a scene
of four legs, not a three legged table
But still I feel unfulfilled
when you fill me full of shame
As I thirst for just the first thing
for you to treat me the same
But this stigma is my prison
As I am chained to a fable
Your decision in this division
Does not envision me from this label
Open your heart and be a part
of the person I certainly am
Treat me the way I dream
Redeemed from being
a disabled man
And break through into
the truth!
Empowering for how
we have improved
as one endued
in the power of now!
