The War Machine

The convoluted politician said
Our son saluted all the missions led
Against dissent and presence of mind
To end the offense in essence a crime
On innocent victims unwilling to kill
With dissident feelings wanting to fulfill
Dissent and present an order for
Citizens and soldiers to abort war
Instilling a willingness to survive
And be unwilling in killing lives
As political systems thrive
On cynicism and drive
Propaganda and rhetoric
Where we are fed and tricked
Imploring deplorable scenes
Of blood and gore and warring regimes
With lies to why we redeem our dreams
To die in wars without peaceful means
In lives of fear formed in between
What drives the gears
Of the war machine

Simple Musical

Melody moment and
Delicate riff
Having a magical
Mellow gift
Of charisma in rhythm
And harmony
With visions of wisdom
Charming to sing
Poetical spelling and
Compelling words
Enveloping the developing
World hurled into a faithful
Hope playing to devote a note
Heard in a musical rhyme
To soar into beautiful and kind
Hearts apart from fear to nurture
And find time endearing a future
Loving something greater than hate
In a simple musical as we await fate
Of the people going to great lengths
To give and live with forgiving strength

Ultimately

Every poem is an act of accomplishment
A creative force generating
The success of completion
With every word carefully placed
To create a form worthy of God
A sense of creation fulfilling intrigue
To complete the self esteem
Every poem is a creation
With every word connected
To a community of ideas
In a sense to share the hope
Anything imagination
Can endeavor
