Party of One

You may not understand why I am who I am
From birth to childhood, adolescent to adult
The experience equal the person I am as a result
My memories make the dreams seem real
But when it all comes down to who I am
It is how I feel
The behaviors exist with consequences
Be it good or bad
As I learn and return to try not to get burned
Like everyone should in order not to be sad
I've been through a lot in this lifetime of mine
Beyond the barriers of wasting time
But now it seems I somehow know right from wrong
Even though I make mistakes to awakening my faults
And take to the grave my secrets and my thoughts
But try to reveal through poetry and prose
What I feel and try to show
The colors of the rainbow
The senses of the mind
Through alliteration, contemplation,
Breaking down defenses I sometimes climb
Wanting to hold on to the love I have
Wanting to grow old and learn to laugh
Wanting you to accept me for who I am
With my flaws and my passions
Something we all have when we judge without compassion
My body seeks to speak as my mind finds the time
To say something worthwhile and resign to being kind
My loneliness is only this
A river that flows
Over the falls
Making a sound
More than d
                  o
                  w
                  n
Crashing into the stream
To all the calling of my recalling
And all the moments I've had from racing fast
In the whitewater at last
To a lake
At the end
of my path...
I need you to remember me,
Maybe that is why I write these words heard in
rhythm and rhyme
Occurring to be given in the living
and in good time
But if you want
The answers to the hard fought questions
And if you want the meaning of life mentioned
All you have to do is to look inside
and look around
What it is that makes us true men
And humans to have been put down
By ideas, and fanatics, and political agendas
Be it dictator or the imitator and a referendum
The truth is we can do what is right by doing good
And to alleviate pain
as much as we remain
following like we should
The conscience of our souls and
The whispers in our hearts
For all our astonishment
In the mystery of our parts
of the whole we console
As significant with a purpose
And a meaning believing we can
if we allow ourselves to understand
Our worthiness
and to fulfill our dreaming

The black hole in my heart

There's a place embraced
A space apart lacking soul in the heart
A place we face from the start
A black hole we know attracts the stars
Avoiding joy growing apart
Knowing a void is a lonely part
Rather than believe in relieving
The heart as a part of space
Seeing the need to feed the bleeding
And start to have the dark replaced
My God, the odds of heaven and hell
In the whole universe as well
My heart imparts this dream to mean
The curse is in me to tell
The hole in my heart seems to scream
And the soul starts to lean on me
Beckoning the whole dream to seem
Like a new religion from the void
A view envisioned not to avoid
Longing for a belonging joy
As we know the wrong longs to annoy
But with the right insight we might rejoice
Bringing delight to our voice
As the hole enlightens our dark choices
Making light from the plight of our voices
Partaking right and forsaking the soul
And shaking like a dark hole shows
Inside the side of the heart that knows
Abiding to decide in those
Believing we will be living and leaving
Only to be leaving the grieving
As we believe in the giving
Only to be forgiving and living

Sweet Treat

Candy in my heart
Sweet serenade
A treat to impart
The beat as we play
A song sung
In our souls
A sound of melody
In words heard
With passion sung aloud
My voice rejoices in harmony
My song threads the charm and leads
Poetry in a sweet song
The reason pursuing the rhyme to belong
Always with you as a duet
Singing the truth like the poet interjects
The sound of the moment
Noting devotion
In the music to use the muse of we
To choose our voice in melody
Together forever
Endeavoring
Our song whenever we are weathering
To belong
Bringing along a trust
Longing to sing
And sing for us
Hope of the note
Song to impart
A melody in the moment
Beating as one heart

Bleeding on the page

Bleeding on the page
My sweat pours over the lines
To find a poem I can call my own
Some kind of form and way to say
The truth as you are waiting
For a word heard from all the commotion
Occurring in the world as I see the motion
Turning for me to put it all down
From the pen to the page
Looking better than what is in the news
As views are all distorted
I find the times define what is reported
As I listen and remember to surrender what I feel
The way to behave and what is real
The fact I act on the feelings permitted
Makes the creative energy submitted
To always conjure the words to a story
Never being worthy of glory
Only to say happiness stays
When the truth pursues the day your way
Enjoying the joy always in all ways

Anonymous

I am as free as a bird
A fish off of the hook
A man without a word
Or a world that will look
I escape this prison they call by name
Fearing of the position we all are to blame
When loneliness remains in vain to explain
I am no longer here with fear
My chain remains plastic and weird
I am singular without a home or tear
And your clutches only make it clear
To go it alone away from your grasp
I have no judgments to judge at last
I am anonymous
Autonomous
It is me who is free
Can you be like me
Without any need?
My mind is kind
Like a fortress
My body is a book
If you look
My head wraps around this world which is shook
Down to the ground like my soul gets mistook
Around the sound of my whole individual
My name is unashamed as I remain
A residual of anonymous
Conspiring to retire
The mystery is a man without a title
And tomorrow borrows the sorrow of fame
To entitle my ways as I  recite and complain
The fact is I act as though it is all okay
When really I feel always to stay
Anonymous

No Heaven

If there is no heaven
There is no bread
And if there is only
number seven
then we will go unsaid
Into the dread of just dead
And nothing would
be worse than a curse
Of oblivion! To be unknown
To a world going home without a house
To a place we erase in doubt
To an earth without mirth or a planet
we can plan it will never be the same
Without heaven to be named
But then again, what of the world
To doubt a secondary?
To shout and beckon everyone could
succumb, be chosen not to sit, but run
Running for the sun and the stars
Become who we are
A planetary moment
To share with enjoyment
And not pretend in the end
But treasure a measure of presence
In a place of residence
In a home with a house not to roam
But allow us to be now and espouse

Myself

Believe me, when I tell you, I love you!
And everything will be alright
How can I prove the feeling I have
When love knows we are losing sight
Of what it is to love within
To prove myself the one
To love the most with acting close
To the stranger I was once (to my own love)
As I was only a boy
Falling for you
Knowing true
What feelings do
When I knew
To love you true
Was to love the man
And understand
It was how to make us feel the power
We could basically feel if we could heal
The trauma of the boy
Who always wanted acceptance
But was a man to understand all he had was
Feeling Neglected
When feeling alone
Getting home and not having the strength
To build the story of history and his story
In great length, of time it took to find the
Glory of the Word
The word of (love)
To be heard was of thinking
And not feeling sorry
But after thought of what was not
Feeling we could heal was all he knew
So, then, he grew, and felt the feeling real
Feeling real love
Made of one to comfort his hurting soul
His pain
His hope
His love for those
Who never loved him still,
So he forgave and learned and gave the best
Years to his own love
For me, the one, who bleeds the fun from all
The fears and crucifies the lies in eyes and discovers faith
Faith for Him
A love given from the Son
And faces His own hurt
Just like dirt rubbed into the nose
He bled so we could see the dead
Way all would compose
The song sung
The words hung the story among believers
The truth to the matter to chatter and flatter the ego
Youth appears to go through, wanting something like
Nothing but love for someone else
When really it's me who love's to be loving me, myself
And not to dwell on faith of hope or love or those who
Loved us in return
But go with what feels and heals the love for one who learns
It takes more to love
To really force acceptance
Into the heart
Surrender the words and hear the world calling
To be part of all we are
Not love
Not far
But close to you
Who we are
Without the other's to discover ourselves
But love for who we are and become
The love, and act on one's own preservation, by
Giving yourself a forgiving help
And wealth becomes your relation

Higher Ground

I have the answer to why we have cancer
Eating away at us

Because of stress w
e must confess
is dealing with a feeling we must

Be aware of caring, daring to repair negative thinking i
n the making

If only we could see affirmation is for free

And is there to live with partaking

To show love is enough to awaken and trust

A life more inspired to help

Desiring a fire aspiring to a higher ground

For each other as well as our self

We See The Good

        Walking along the street
What do you think when you meet
A person? Do you think of the good
like you should or do you shrink uncertain?
And go with what you’re shown
In a culture violent
With guns, how do you not get shot
Or maimed?
By the man strange without a name
The answer is to not have fear
Or adhere to thoughts of misfortune
Loosen your grip on the ship with a list
And look into the eyes more in tune
And surprisingly the risk is as strange
as the smile as reality
Changes to bliss and a style
You see in the eyes like the skies
Numbering the stars
The good outnumber the ones who are
With bad intent as you repent thinking
From a sinking ship linking this with a list and resist
Shrinking to float and insist the risk is remote
As a boat of lies in the way you see the world
Not on the make but perceiving you receive
this believing by mistake not on the ocean
with a notion of sharks as your emotions are in motion
with the fish who are really billions of good like the stars
Where some may fall but when most have hearts
Giving you living with forgiving your mind
To see not black with attack but color with a kind
Of light that outshines the darkness as the day
Becomes the eyes of blue
Construed as a way the danger of the stranger
Is not cold but hot
Making your mind not old in thought
As you find every passing notion one very happy
And as vast as the ocean
Sailing on the mast like a castaway of emotion
At last flip the ship and tip the coin
To keep the ship afloat to join a courage to encourage
And discourage the blind blue eyes and skies
To always find your wayward ship equipped to float
Never to list as your ship or boat

One for the Lord

Can You hear me
Calling out to You?
With my arms stretched out?
Wanting to be true?
Like an angel cries out for a pair of wings
Like a stage requires an ability to sing
The song of the century
Where the only wrong is memory
And life is loved and living believes in
something more than religion brings
We have the Word of God to transcend the truth
Heard in us all to offend all who pursue their own desires
in the fires of fault and without redemption
of the lust in us all
Makes it hard to love true as you do
But this love from above proves we can refuse temptation
Through His grace and mercy
Whether the issue puts you in a place where you are thirsty
There is a place where we will meet in the heavens
Of love
Even though you may feel your place is above sitting next to
Our Father
Our God
A place where we face our deeds
Offering our love beyond the guilt the world will create
If we only could deal with it and meditate
On Jesus and see the kindness in His eyes
A better kind of empathy in mind
A true devotion to do righteously with prayer and the notion
We are fighting unnecessarily
When the fight was already fought without sin
By His grace to express righteousness to win
the battle of all temptations of the world
With His kindness and patience
The invitation is yours
to ask us to reach out and take hold of peace
As He treasures our love to behold what will please Him
In the hope to be winning the race
To endure the pure and be saved by His grace

just trust

my mind see's the sign and seizes the time to endure the pain
for the main reason we sustain the shame through our lives
we want a love from God above and as children from the heart

Our Gods are our parents splitting our apparent start
To have innocence and kindness a blank slate of trust
If we only could get back to that place and start to unwind
our lust and love again

Like we were friends to the only boy down the block
The neighbor girl was for favor but your world made the love for her
long for the day she moved away
creating space in the back of your mind

She was young
The one who was running chasing butterflies to find boys were toys
And men were joys as girls were the worlds' endeavor to sing
the songs for the world was wrong to destroy the innocence forever

"Make do of what was through the scope of your happiness
and hope to tell"

My life was right as I fight for God's laughter for my heart to dwell

Walk along song

What is in a song?
Words that belong
Between the beat and rhythm
With a neat vision
Coming true
Like me and you
Seeing each other
And talking
As we walk along
Singing a song
The sound is around our heads
Whispering words said
Rhyming and timing
Sometimes shining
In our eyes as the words thread
A fabric we have wrapped
Around our hearts in the direction
found in part hand in hand in the land
The lady and her man
Never to leave when we see
Each other always to understand
It is you that makes me shiver
When we touch together
whether or not you want me to
I love you so much forever

The Puppeteer

It is the spin that takes us in
without a doubt again and again
Seeing right through the view of news
and the way they manipulate

pulling the strings of our dreams
and mediate and entangle us
bringing on skepticism
We wrangle with trust

With their arrogance inevitably left
without a variance
creating debate from above
Hating the state of the media

Wanting to lead without greed
to see we need
to become free
From disease

disguised in lies
As the puppeteers realize
We are here without fear
To trust and turn the strings

into things we must cut
and learn as our leadership sings
Responsibility in fulfilling
our willingness to discern

Corruptions dysfunction
is really our own concern
In the play we portray
blaming the unknown

Reaching for peace
we each need to love
In releasing our strings
from up above

Rendering Our Dreams

Comforting your body or hoping for your soul
Some lives copy Jesus and do as they are told
Being neither right nor proven wrong
We fight the good fight before we are gone
Then we are promised life everlasting?
We should be good and aspire!
But then when we're not
to be as we thought
Still to expire
Time requires us to know
And succumb
to what we will eventually face
A reality of finality
discerning truth
in a worldly place
Without the hype of eternal life
following unto death
As faith awaits a way to pray
allowing a final breath
To sing the things we bring in dreams
of real enjoyment
Grace has its place
as we embrace
a death nearing its moment
When proof is aloof as heaven and truth
for us to believe
So man can understand a faith that is great
with a steadfast relief
For everything written and everything read
As we make our decision to break the chain
To remain dead or thread
Surrendering our endeavors
to have a spiritual life
Remembering to render
our dreaming
the advice
Making destiny our defender
even though spiritually we
do not know
Though faith
is forever as we follow our dreams
and go

Heavenly Prize

As we wonder and wander this earth in control
Knowing He is going to save our worthy souls
And move to a place of heavenly prize
To sustain us on this bus facing the pace of this ride
From the back to the front
Away from where we were

On track from the back without the facts blurred
As we roam to the home of angels
Facing our backs from attacks
Of dangerous strangers

And love before the Father and His forgiving Son
Loving all other's wanting to sit in front as one
With a chance to subtract the sin
We find ourselves in
On the ride of our lives
As we sit back, or stand in

Dr. Chu

Have you heard, Dr. Chu, there is no one else but you!
Who listens to the souls as they impart their very hearts
And their dreams seems the world isn't the means to a
Needed happiness, inside ourselves as you tell me

Money is a burden, and a slave to it you're certain
Seeing all the shattering delusions
I am confidently aware and emotionally there
But, there isn't a person to a solution for the face
Expresses fear and it only shows the clear
Explanation to why I wear a frown

In the moments opposition
The demons disclose their position as
I have waited too long for my smile
When I truly do want to while my mind says
Yes, but confronts you, and the session turns to a lesson

Full of tears, as my shame hides under a rock and it rolls
Like a ticking clock as I wait for a miracle to appear
Did I mention I need you to tell me what to do?
When the stone face expression only lingers
To the fears on the shoulders as it appears I've gotten older

And the borders are as clear and adheres to finger
The problem of a child still with an adult smile
As I need to believe, my mind has been made up of 50 plus
And yet, I feel the world still weighs me down

How can I escape when you say
I saw you grin, and the moment
Turns to learning how to laugh?
My partner and confidant
I can hear the trumpets 7th trump
But the slump isn't the lump in my throat

Because I choke
And you know it's all a joke to say,
We are living the dream we had yesterday
A deja vu  today
My dream it seems to appear and fade away

Let me smile one more time before I stop to say
A rhyme as the dime I'm calling has to end
And a friend you are indeed capturing my succeeding
And leading and bleeding on

For uncertainty is for certain and the audience will
Always find a maker to the shaker of the show
And it doesn't matter what you know
As long as you humble your path

Into your freedom believing a song to sing
With a heart as your goal is your purpose in life
To surface and survive the heartaches
Of memories

And mistakes
My emotions are alive and with them I can cry
For the strength is the weakness of the world
And if the spirit is in the soul
Then I hear it more and more whole

And feel the life lived is worth it
To stay alive in the fray
And promote peace on my way
For the love will ease the disease
I've longed to rid

Idyllic Politics

The philosophy of democracy is a policy demanding
Exercise of freedom in a land commanding
A vote to devote representing people
Designed to find and present us as equal
In idyllic politics proving we are free
Teaming up to dream beyond trickery
To have a say for all who are called as a whole
Like today is today and the present unfolds
Reminds us even more of our need to lead
Rather than leave it complacent to be
More important than leader's is our own reflection
In the moment of atonement for a perfect direction

Whole in One

A whole in one is heard
Like a golf game
At the hole for a putt
A man who stands ready
Addressing the ball
Awaiting for the initial swing
Of the club
and then...
The follow through
Everything let's go
How the ball flies against the surface
Oh, how the words roll
Letting the ball curve
Letting the words swerve
Bumping along the way
The slowing down
Into the direction of the whole
Golfing idea behind the dream
Born yesterday approaching today
It spins into a cascading, rolling, awkwardness
Then, it realizes it's true destiny
Toward a direction
Towards a whole purpose
From which it came
A destiny from which it was born
For, the hole of today, curving into
A true meaning, a truth
Within the game
To finally find it's home
Whole in one

The secret

Imagine a world hurled in commotion
Where the secret is the egret
Without the motion
To the notion we are all
In fact in the act to find truth
Aloof and exact as tact
What was good for me is bad for you
What you believe I disapprove
But the truth can not prove
One way or the other
If we take the strange change and love for
Opinion which once was in the dark
Now engages the pages of the heart
Was once a light to fight to death
Now is right giving into breath

The War Machine

The convoluted politician said
Our son saluted all the missions led
Against dissent and presence of mind
To end the offense in essence a crime
On innocent victims unwilling to kill
With dissident feelings wanting to fulfill
Dissent and present an order for
Citizens and soldiers to abort war
Instilling a willingness to survive
And be unwilling in killing lives
As political systems thrive
On cynicism and drive
Propaganda and rhetoric
Where we are fed and tricked
Imploring deplorable scenes
Of blood and gore and warring regimes
With lies to why we redeem our dreams
To die in wars without peaceful means
In lives of fear formed in between
What drives the gears
Of the war machine

Simple Musical

Melody moment and
Delicate riff
Having a magical
Mellow gift
Of charisma in rhythm
And harmony
With visions of wisdom
Charming to sing
Poetical spelling and
Compelling words
Enveloping the developing
World hurled into a faithful
Hope playing to devote a note
Heard in a musical rhyme
To soar into beautiful and kind
Hearts apart from fear to nurture
And find time endearing a future
Loving something greater than hate
In a simple musical as we await fate
Of the people going to great lengths
To give and live with forgiving strength

Ultimately

Every poem is an act of accomplishment
A creative force generating
The success of completion
With every word carefully placed
To create a form worthy of God
A sense of creation fulfilling intrigue
To complete the self esteem
Every poem is a creation
With every word connected
To a community of ideas
In a sense to share the hope
Anything imagination
Can endeavor

The Nursing Home

Laying in diapers drenched
Pressure sores and stench
Scream voices from little old ladies
Wanting out to find their babies
Do not take them away from all the pain
They have become as they anticipate
And wait for their life saving son
Nobody drinks the water here
In fear they won't get changed
You're out of luck when your mind's amuck
Running aged and deranged
Nobody wants to end up here
Live, before you do
Have to go where no one knows
How to help you through
Falling down recalling how you use to remember
Before you found no way around excuses to surrender
If you could you would have a faith without a doubt
As you blunder to stand ascunder
You wait to find no way out
In a place where you lie and face
Wonder all alone
With a fate to deteriorate and die crying for home
How can man allow them to stand and lay their bodies down?
At the cost of such a loss to stay and never to be found
Keeping them alive until their last dying breath
Is a disgrace to this place dignifying death
Engage the mind and find a kind of quality in life
Before the door closes more with apology and strife
We never want something like this to happen to us
Or them, forever denying all the dying, distrust they must defend
As witness and victims of the system without a voice or choice
I speak for the weak too afraid to seek a freedom to rejoice
From the vain unchanging chains fettering their mentality
Becoming strained in all the pain remaining their reality

Christian Vision

An eagle is peaceful pouncing on a snake
As a killer whale kills the seal tasting great
The shark is as smart as the food he eats
As we dance with a chance to romance defeat
With wisdom of the victim defeated in the system
As they have vision in the decision to be in a position
To fulfill the will, not to kill the victim
But have the nerve to be served and serve in the system
As the great white shark remarks on faith
Is it not kind to find they accomodate?
For prey to not want to dominate
As they pay the price upon the plate?
I find the prey with the right insight
They niether try to fight or take flight into the night
As they delight in the light to stay out of fights
Despite the fright the darkness encites
They choose to be of use, rather than use
They console the soul, rather than control
They are like a savior, with good behavior
As they reach for peace with favor to savor
They follow and swallow the offering
Borrowing from the pain of suffering
As they agree with the sea
We should pray to be the prey!
Taking heed to concede
As they display in the fray

Global Warming

There goes our ozone
one more hole to our demise

For all we know, it's over our heads
instead we act surprised

With factory pollution, and carbon
emissions with U.V. warnings

All our excuses to justify uses but not
admitting to global warming

Infuriating and deteriorating
right before our eyes

Carbon monoxide is a preogative
as we continue to deny

Causing tornado's to twist
and hurricane's to rain

While the calamity holds humanity
fair share to the blame

For climate change
dynamic and strange

On a fatalistic cliff
A warning for global warming

With a cataclysmic shift
like volcano's first transformation

When the earth was formed
and when the asteroid hit the planet

Killing the dinosaurs that roamed
like the ice age was a page ripped out of history

How do we allow ourselves
to witness catastrophe?

As we have damaged
to our disadvantage

And to all our death
like a bandage we can't imagine

Can be finally managed and addressed
as we go on bleeding knowing we are needing

To heed our savageness
and give a chance to enhance

Our environs with a lavishment
As we confess to this mess and

Believe before we leave
We can heal and deal with what is real
living responsibly

Reclining In The Den

Cigar and brandy after dinner retreat
Is typically cynical and literally defeats
Discussing each political ideal
Because deceit leaves little appeal
For conservative perspective
Or liberal view
In a nutshell, the elect, selected to do
Amazing changes in the world today
To end all wars and use sustainable ways
But with a cover-up there is silence
Leading to more guns and violence
In a democracy of hypocrisy
And propaganda
A policy we all can see is underhanded
The solution to help is held in defiance
Compelling us to be with more self reliance
Without financing a war mongering state
Or wondering how we are great with hate
Ever since persistant insistance is cleverly
Severing togetherness forever leveraging
Business as usual in games without names
And witnesses refusal to remain without shame
Seeing the culture for what we are
Freedom with soldiers and callous hearts
Abstaining from complaining and sustaining harm
In a domain remaining vain and armed
As we fight despite disease and discord
A plight we can right with peace, not war

Labeled Disabled

I walk along and sing a song
being on top of the world
But then I fear of what I hear
in all the whispers hurled
When honestly, they hurt me,
deep down inside not being
rightly included
As I am laughed at and made fun of
even shunned as if I’ve intruded?
Like a clown made up in a frown
as though I’m a joke
Excluded as a dude rudely
abused, being
refused, and poked
I am someone misunderstood
mostly disrespected
Feeling like a piece of candy
spit out and rejected!
Like a weed in the middle of a field
pulled out by the root
Like a person behind
the backstage curtain
never playing the role that suits
Feeling disowned like being thrown
into a pail of garbage
like a ball of paper crinkled up
for later and thought of as
a failure discarded
You see, it’s like I’m free,
but swimming in a fishbowl instead
As others have gold, mine is dull
colored dismal and dead
I wish I was a fish with a color of bliss
feeling like the rest
But all I find in my time of dieing
is swimming behind the jest!
Sometimes I want to escape
this world feeling not worth a dime
In this landscape I can’t
Stand straight dealing
with this earth of mine
I want to feel the difference
of being one of the same
But with the sadness I feel madness
as gladness is the game
You see all I need is to
Be set free from being
Seen as a crook
As I rage off these pages
In case my cage is shook
How can I show you I am stable?
and more than being able?
The song I sing dreams of a scene
of four legs, not a three legged table
But still I feel unfulfilled
when you fill me full of shame
As I thirst for just the first thing
for you to treat me the same
But this stigma is my prison
As I am chained to a fable
Your decision in this division
Does not envision me from this label
Open your heart and be a part
of the person I certainly am
Treat me the way I dream
Redeemed from being
a disabled man
And break through into
the truth!
Empowering for how
we have improved
as one endued
in the power of now!
