Party of One

You may not understand why I am who I am
From birth to childhood, adolescent to adult
The experience equal the person I am as a result
My memories make the dreams seem real
But when it all comes down to who I am
It is how I feel
The behaviors exist with consequences
Be it good or bad
As I learn and return to try not to get burned
Like everyone should in order not to be sad
I've been through a lot in this lifetime of mine
Beyond the barriers of wasting time
But now it seems I somehow know right from wrong
Even though I make mistakes to awakening my faults
And take to the grave my secrets and my thoughts
But try to reveal through poetry and prose
What I feel and try to show
The colors of the rainbow
The senses of the mind
Through alliteration, contemplation,
Breaking down defenses I sometimes climb
Wanting to hold on to the love I have
Wanting to grow old and learn to laugh
Wanting you to accept me for who I am
With my flaws and my passions
Something we all have when we judge without compassion
My body seeks to speak as my mind finds the time
To say something worthwhile and resign to being kind
My loneliness is only this
A river that flows
Over the falls
Making a sound
More than d
                  o
                  w
                  n
Crashing into the stream
To all the calling of my recalling
And all the moments I've had from racing fast
In the whitewater at last
To a lake
At the end
of my path...
I need you to remember me,
Maybe that is why I write these words heard in
rhythm and rhyme
Occurring to be given in the living
and in good time
But if you want
The answers to the hard fought questions
And if you want the meaning of life mentioned
All you have to do is to look inside
and look around
What it is that makes us true men
And humans to have been put down
By ideas, and fanatics, and political agendas
Be it dictator or the imitator and a referendum
The truth is we can do what is right by doing good
And to alleviate pain
as much as we remain
following like we should
The conscience of our souls and
The whispers in our hearts
For all our astonishment
In the mystery of our parts
of the whole we console
As significant with a purpose
And a meaning believing we can
if we allow ourselves to understand
Our worthiness
and to fulfill our dreaming

The black hole in my heart

There's a place embraced
A space apart lacking soul in the heart
A place we face from the start
A black hole we know attracts the stars
Avoiding joy growing apart
Knowing a void is a lonely part
Rather than believe in relieving
The heart as a part of space
Seeing the need to feed the bleeding
And start to have the dark replaced
My God, the odds of heaven and hell
In the whole universe as well
My heart imparts this dream to mean
The curse is in me to tell
The hole in my heart seems to scream
And the soul starts to lean on me
Beckoning the whole dream to seem
Like a new religion from the void
A view envisioned not to avoid
Longing for a belonging joy
As we know the wrong longs to annoy
But with the right insight we might rejoice
Bringing delight to our voice
As the hole enlightens our dark choices
Making light from the plight of our voices
Partaking right and forsaking the soul
And shaking like a dark hole shows
Inside the side of the heart that knows
Abiding to decide in those
Believing we will be living and leaving
Only to be leaving the grieving
As we believe in the giving
Only to be forgiving and living

Sweet Treat

Candy in my heart
Sweet serenade
A treat to impart
The beat as we play
A song sung
In our souls
A sound of melody
In words heard
With passion sung aloud
My voice rejoices in harmony
My song threads the charm and leads
Poetry in a sweet song
The reason pursuing the rhyme to belong
Always with you as a duet
Singing the truth like the poet interjects
The sound of the moment
Noting devotion
In the music to use the muse of we
To choose our voice in melody
Together forever
Endeavoring
Our song whenever we are weathering
To belong
Bringing along a trust
Longing to sing
And sing for us
Hope of the note
Song to impart
A melody in the moment
Beating as one heart

Bleeding on the page

Bleeding on the page
My sweat pours over the lines
To find a poem I can call my own
Some kind of form and way to say
The truth as you are waiting
For a word heard from all the commotion
Occurring in the world as I see the motion
Turning for me to put it all down
From the pen to the page
Looking better than what is in the news
As views are all distorted
I find the times define what is reported
As I listen and remember to surrender what I feel
The way to behave and what is real
The fact I act on the feelings permitted
Makes the creative energy submitted
To always conjure the words to a story
Never being worthy of glory
Only to say happiness stays
When the truth pursues the day your way
Enjoying the joy always in all ways

Anonymous

I am as free as a bird
A fish off of the hook
A man without a word
Or a world that will look
I escape this prison they call by name
Fearing of the position we all are to blame
When loneliness remains in vain to explain
I am no longer here with fear
My chain remains plastic and weird
I am singular without a home or tear
And your clutches only make it clear
To go it alone away from your grasp
I have no judgments to judge at last
I am anonymous
Autonomous
It is me who is free
Can you be like me
Without any need?
My mind is kind
Like a fortress
My body is a book
If you look
My head wraps around this world which is shook
Down to the ground like my soul gets mistook
Around the sound of my whole individual
My name is unashamed as I remain
A residual of anonymous
Conspiring to retire
The mystery is a man without a title
And tomorrow borrows the sorrow of fame
To entitle my ways as I  recite and complain
The fact is I act as though it is all okay
When really I feel always to stay

No Heaven

If there is no heaven
There is no bread
And if there is only
number seven
then we will go unsaid
Into the dread of just dead
And nothing would
be worse than a curse
Of oblivion! To be unknown
To a world going home without a house
To a place we erase in doubt
To an earth without mirth or a planet
we can plan it will never be the same
Without heaven to be named
But then again, what of the world
To doubt a secondary?
To shout and beckon everyone could
succumb, be chosen not to sit, but run
Running for the sun and the stars
Become who we are
A planetary moment
To share with enjoyment
And not pretend in the end
But treasure a measure of presence
In a place of residence
In a home with a house not to roam
But allow us to be now and espouse

Myself

Believe me, when I tell you, I love you!
And everything will be alright
How can I prove the feeling I have
When love knows we are losing sight
Of what it is to love within
To prove myself the one
To love the most with acting close
To the stranger I was once (to my own love)
As I was only a boy
Falling for you
Knowing true
What feelings do
When I knew
To love you true
Was to love the man
And understand
It was how to make us feel the power
We could basically feel if we could heal
The trauma of the boy
Who always wanted acceptance
But was a man to understand all he had was
Feeling Neglected
When feeling alone
Getting home and not having the strength
To build the story of history and his story
In great length, of time it took to find the
Glory of the Word
The word of (love)
To be heard was of thinking
And not feeling sorry
But after thought of what was not
Feeling we could heal was all he knew
So, then, he grew, and felt the feeling real
Feeling real love
Made of one to comfort his hurting soul
His pain
His hope
His love for those
Who never loved him still,
So he forgave and learned and gave the best
Years to his own love
For me, the one, who bleeds the fun from all
The fears and crucifies the lies in eyes and discovers faith
Faith for Him
A love given from the Son
And faces His own hurt
Just like dirt rubbed into the nose
He bled so we could see the dead
Way all would compose
The song sung
The words hung the story among believers
The truth to the matter to chatter and flatter the ego
Youth appears to go through, wanting something like
Nothing but love for someone else
When really it's me who love's to be loving me, myself
And not to dwell on faith of hope or love or those who
Loved us in return
But go with what feels and heals the love for one who learns
It takes more to love
To really force acceptance
Into the heart
Surrender the words and hear the world calling
To be part of all we are
Not love
Not far
But close to you
Who we are
Without the other's to discover ourselves
But love for who we are and become
The love, and act on one's own preservation, by
Giving yourself a forgiving help
And wealth becomes your relation

Higher Ground

I have the answer to why we have cancer
Eating away at us

Because of stress w
e must confess
is dealing with a feeling we must

Be aware of caring, daring to repair negative thinking i
n the making

If only we could see affirmation is for free

And is there to live with partaking

To show love is enough to awaken and trust

A life more inspired to help

Desiring a fire aspiring to a higher ground

For each other as well as our self

We See The Good

        Walking along the street
What do you think when you meet
A person? Do you think of the good
like you should or do you shrink uncertain?
And go with what you’re shown
In a culture violent
With guns, how do you not get shot
Or maimed?
By the man strange without a name
The answer is to not have fear
Or adhere to thoughts of misfortune
Loosen your grip on the ship with a list
And look into the eyes more in tune
And surprisingly the risk is as strange
as the smile as reality
Changes to bliss and a style
You see in the eyes like the skies
Numbering the stars
The good outnumber the ones who are
With bad intent as you repent thinking
From a sinking ship linking this with a list and resist
Shrinking to float and insist the risk is remote
As a boat of lies in the way you see the world
Not on the make but perceiving you receive
this believing by mistake not on the ocean
with a notion of sharks as your emotions are in motion
with the fish who are really billions of good like the stars
Where some may fall but when most have hearts
Giving you living with forgiving your mind
To see not black with attack but color with a kind
Of light that outshines the darkness as the day
Becomes the eyes of blue
Construed as a way the danger of the stranger
Is not cold but hot
Making your mind not old in thought
As you find every passing notion one very happy
And as vast as the ocean
Sailing on the mast like a castaway of emotion
At last flip the ship and tip the coin
To keep the ship afloat to join a courage to encourage
And discourage the blind blue eyes and skies
To always find your wayward ship equipped to float
Never to list as your ship or boat
