The War Machine

The convoluted politician said
Our son saluted all the missions led
Against dissent and presence of mind
To end the offense in essence a crime
On innocent victims unwilling to kill
With dissident feelings wanting to fulfill
Dissent and present an order for
Citizens and soldiers to abort war
Instilling a willingness to survive
And be unwilling in killing lives
As political systems thrive
On cynicism and drive
Propaganda and rhetoric
Where we are fed and tricked
Imploring deplorable scenes
Of blood and gore and warring regimes
With lies to why we redeem our dreams
To die in wars without peaceful means
In lives of fear formed in between
What drives the gears
Of the war machine
