Groove to the Move

The cuddle fish hides
The sea horse rides
The octopus thinks
the ink inside
Will let him escape
as he creates as a creature
of illusion a camouflage
of color like no other
featuring confusion
can change his shape
in the scrape losing
a tentacle in the struggle
can grow one back in the attack
reacting just as subtle
as the starfish moves
to the groove along the
ocean floor looking for a snack
to crack open more for the
snack than attack on the
prey as the mollusk knows the fate
to wait and bets he can get away
knowing and showing
how it is done through the
flowing of jet propulsion
The sea turtle hurdles
it's half ton shell up
the beach wanting
to tell it's young they
are among those
who can hatch
and not be snatched
by the ones who catch
And eat before they retreat
back to sea
As the elite will meet
succeeding to be
Like the mother
who discovers
a place on
shore where the sun
can incubate her eggs
even more
and not be swept
away or eaten
by the land
that withstands
the frenzy feeding
