Less is Best

In the interest
of a few words
Where we invest
in a true world
Like poetry
prunes the tree
Growing stronger
Or to be a seed
As we sing a song
Sprouting short rather than long
Where chatter matters as the subject
Suggests to the poet who knows it
must trust and rest in our hearts
Of simplicity for we are simply
in the world where words
Occur in lines together to find
the kinds of fine treasure
In just a word for the world to say
Love above the words today
To withstand the way we hate
and understand how man relates
to love enough in a shattered world
and the onslaught of talk
with the battery of words
