Come What May

Lord, if I could, I would
Believe like the righteous
Agree
To see the mystery
you leave when we
are suppose to perceive
a truth
In You
Without proof
Other than You prove
in our hearts making faith
become greater than doubt
as we start all over again
To sin
and win
You over
Before we begin
To believe in your loving-kindness
Forgiving
us and our flaws
and blindness
living beyond our dreams as You redeem
Us like Jesus does
and if I fail to be as
You entail
Let me brave
through the grave
and meet
to see in the end
All of the confusion
Of the confused and abused
life we write off as light fights for the right
To live beyond our lives and give more than
when we arrived
As you would
prove in our hearts with
the faith we lose by
abusing our parts
You have us play in the role
Of believing in
Come what may
